About Calculated MFG

Meet the Founder

I'm Cordell, and my journey into manufacturing started in 2020 when I bought my first CNC router. I didn’t come from a factory background or a big shop—I was just one guy with a machine, a passion for making, and a vision for what was possible. That’s how Origin Millwork was born.

At first, my focus was on handcrafted items made with precision on my CNC mill. But as time went on, I realized my passion wasn’t just about woodworking—it was about creation itself. I became fascinated with new materials, new machines, and new ways to bring ideas to life.

By 2025, my business had evolved into something bigger than just CNC work. To embrace that growth, I rebranded as Calculated MFG—a name that reflects my commitment to precision, problem-solving, and pushing the boundaries of small-scale manufacturing.

Today, I still run a one-man shop, where every product is designed and made with care, right here in the USA. Quality and craftsmanship aren’t just words to me—they’re the foundation of everything I create.

This year, I'm taking a big step forward: for the first time, Calculated MFG is introducing metal parts into production. It’s just the beginning of what’s ahead, and I’m excited to keep exploring new materials, new techniques, and new ways to make great products for my customers.

Whether you’ve been here since the Origin Millwork days or just found me now, thank you for being part of this journey. Your support fuels my passion, and I can't wait to keep building, innovating, and creating for you.

Our Commitment

Before I ever started using CNC machines or 3D printers, I was a carpenter and project manager. I spent years building things that had to last—structures people would live and work in every day. That experience shaped the way I approach everything I make now.

At Calculated MFG, I don’t just design and manufacture parts—I build with the same mindset I had in carpentry: precision matters, materials matter, and durability is non-negotiable. Every design, whether it’s a 3D-printed mount, a CNC-cut project, or a metal part, is created with a focus on longevity and impact.

Your trust in my work means everything, and I’ll continue to push forward—refining techniques, expanding capabilities, and delivering thoughtfully designed, well-made products you can rely on.
